Embracing Your Self-Worth: Recognising Your Deservability

In the journey of holistic health and self-care, there’s a crucial aspect that holds immense power in shaping our lives but often gets overlooked: our self-worth and deservability.

In this month’s blog, I’ll delve into the heart of the matter: what is self-worth, and how does it intertwine with our sense of deservability?

Understanding Self-Worth:

Self-worth is the foundation upon which we build our lives. It’s the deep-seated belief that we are inherently valuable and deserving of love, respect, and happiness. However, in a society that often measures worth by external achievements or appearances, it’s easy to lose sight of our intrinsic value.

In the vast expanse of universal energy and manifestation, life reflects back to us what we unconsciously believe we deserve. If we find ourselves lacking in abundance, love, and happiness, it’s an indication that deep down, we don’t harbour sufficient self-belief. As we navigate through life, our experiences subtly chip away at our self-worth, and we, often unconsciously, feel increasingly diminished – a sobering truth to grapple with.

Cultivating Deservability:

Deservability goes hand in hand with self-worth. It’s the acknowledgment that we are worthy of all the good things life has to offer – love, success, abundance, and fulfilment. Yet, many of us struggle to accept this truth. We may feel undeserving of happiness or believe that we need to earn our worth through constant striving and self-sacrifice.

Now, for those of us embracing the pro-ageing journey, reclaiming our sense of deserving takes centre stage. It’s about challenging societal norms and reframing our perceptions of aging. Instead of seeing it as a time of decline, let’s embrace it as an opportunity for growth, wisdom, and self-discovery.

Challenging Limiting Beliefs:

To truly embrace our self-worth and deservability, we must confront the limiting beliefs that hold us back. These beliefs often stem from past experiences, societal conditioning, or comparisons to others. They whisper destructive messages like “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t deserve to be happy,” or “I’ll never measure up.”

But here’s the truth: you are enough, just as you are. Your worth is not contingent upon external validation or achievements. It resides within you, waiting to be acknowledged and embraced.

Practicing Self-Compassion:

Cultivating self-worth and deservability requires a daily practice of self-compassion. It means treating ourselves with kindness, understanding, and forgiveness – especially in moments of self-doubt or failure. Instead of berating ourselves for our perceived flaws or shortcomings, let’s offer ourselves the same love and empathy we would give to a dear friend.

Celebrating Your Unique Gifts:

Each of us brings something special and valuable to the world. Whether it’s our creativity, kindness, resilience, or wisdom, our unique gifts enrich the lives of those around us. By celebrating and sharing these gifts, we honour our worth and contribute to the greater good.

Surrounding Yourself with Support:

Finally, remember that you don’t have to journey alone. Surround yourself with a supportive community of friends, family, or like-minded individuals who uplift and inspire you. Seek out mentors, coaches, or therapists who can help you navigate the challenges of self-discovery and growth

Personally, this year marks a pivotal moment in my own journey towards embracing my own worthiness. It’s a conscious effort to shed limiting beliefs and stand tall in my power, actively shaping the reality I want to live in. And guess what? I want you to join me on this empowering journey.

Together, let’s challenge the status quo and redefine what it means to be deserving. Let’s open our hearts and minds to the abundance that surrounds us, knowing that we are worthy of every ounce of joy, love, and vitality life has to offer.
